Really well renovated to a high standard, in keeping with its history. Nice pine furniture and fixtures added to the comfort. The staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you 😊

Breakfast was terrible the sausage had a vinegar taste and the tea was undrinkable

No running hot tap in the bathroom, bathroom door doesn’t close

The bedroom was adequate. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.

There was no chef, visited in June 2025. Apparently the previous landlady walked out a week or so before my visit and the new people had not got a chef installed. So no evening meal and no breakfast. Check before you book! There were only six in the bar on Saturday night, it was deserted and no atmosphere.

Room overlooked main road and takeaway outlets very noisy well after midnight Door to room had to be lifted to close Breakfast was a first for us poached egg was spread all over the toast and didn’t look very appealing

Room didn’t seem Superior mould in bathroom and cobwebs in room Staff didn’t seem Very bothered or interested hardly seen them
