The New Inn

Food was good. Pub really nice.

It needed a bit of an upgrade.

The location was good the room was quaint and clean.

The mould in the shower should have been dealt with. The fan in the toilet has never been cleaned ever. The breakfast was shockingly bad with the worst and cheapest ingredients I have ever experienced. I have never gone to a place where I left everything on my plate it was that bad. The first place I’ve gone to where they have no iron to use.

The location was excellent, right in the centre of Thornton Le Dale.

There is a lot of work to be done with new management just moving in. The rooms are very dated and after talking with the new management, this is in their plan.

Booked the holiday cottage for 3 of us riding the coast to coast route and absolutely ideal with pubs/shops/takeaways within 50 yards and the cottage had a fully fitted kitchen for us to use, would recommend this for your stay

Breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal we had, the room was very large with a four poster bed and comfortable. Slight problem with TV as the previous occupants had pinched the remote control so we had to change channels manually.

The car park had huge potholes but they were easy to avoid. More choices on the real ales would have been a bonus.

Location fabulous bar staff very pleasant

It was very very dated. It all needs refurbishing. The room was like stepping into the 1980’s. Burgandy carpet and walls. Bathroom very old looking. My partner thought the bed was comfy. Our food was ok but people were complaining about food being cold and slow service. The owners had just taken it over so they have a lot to do to make it better. It’s in a prime location and could be a fabulous little boozer. I hope they manage it.
