Thornton Le Dale is a beautiful village

The New itself was pretty lack-lustre. Very quiet, closed early for evening meal in leak summer time. The cottage was clean but very unloved, especially the outside which was overgrown and unkempt. The front door was very difficult to open. It appeared a new lock had been fitted. Badly. Could be a major issue in event of a fire.

"Beautiful village"

Amazing location. Huge comfortable and clean room with a bath. Looked around the cottage to book for the future and it looks beautiful. Looking forward to see what the new Landlady does with the place.

Breakfast was a long wait and pre ordered

Room comfy but dated

Staff not always available and the general condition of the pub wasn't up to standard. Filthy carpets. Breakfast wasn't a Full English as they didn't have some items to complete it as a full English. Evening meal unavailable as there was no chef to cook.

Location was very good parking was good

Room needs bit off TLC and pub needs updating room not very clean as for breakfast it was bad from start no one there to great us none off tables were laid out we had to find the man in kitchen ourselves he said people had cancelled that's why table not laid out no milk for cearel having had breakfast it was awfull not cooked properly would question his ability in cooking and customer care he had none off it very rude when approached looked down and didn't reply not bothered at all needs to go on training course definitely for his customer care and as for cooking would not recommend

Excellent location, lovely evening meal and friendly bar staff

Communal areas were very dirty, especially the stair which looked like they hadn’t seen a vacuum in years!!!! Breakfast was adequate.

Run down needs a revamp. Couldn’t eat the breakfast it looked like it had been cooked the night before. Defo won’t be back there. Wipe your feet in the way out ☹️☹️☹️

Dirty run down and the shower water wouldn’t empty fast enough
