"Exceptional"

Beautiful place to stay, our 3 dogs and ourselves thoroughly enjoyed the log burner, peaceful location and beautiful views of 3 horses across the road! We spent most of our time walking and it was lovely to come back to this cosy barn. Thank you for having us.

Place was immaculate, and Matt was a gracious host. The barn had everything you needed to enjoy your stay. Loved the log fire and the way it was set out. Found it very relaxing and looking forward to coming back in the future.

"Quiet, relaxing and perfect location to explore the lakes."

Fantastic barn, had everything we needed. Warm, cosy and comfortable, especially at night with the wood stove on. We visited the Dog and Gun restaurant, 2 mins walk. Perfect for a treat.

The perfect place for a short stay for a couple. The area is rural and quiet, and access to the Lake District and the Solway Firth coast is good. The accomodation, which is a well executed barn conversion, is charming. It has all the things you might need for a short stay. Parking is good for larger vehicles. The host is attentive and very helpful.

Good location, very clean, we don't have a pet so it was good not to see any traces of anyone else's! Cosy little place for a short break.

Wasn't expecting to have to strip the beds and put the rubbish out as per the instructions on arrival but not the end of the world. Mattress was a little uncomfortable as very soft but the room was clean.

Great accomodation and hosts. Excellent parking, facilities and location. Cracking view across the fields/horses with your morning coffee 😃 Overall a great stay and would highly recommend the property. Dog and Gun Inn only a few mins walk, which was an absolute highlight.

Nothing to not like really, just a few suggestions. Provide cover for sofa for pets...we carry our own but would be a nice addition. Dog water bowl would be beneficial too. Electric fly lamp at front door would be a great addition to the property.
