The location is brilliant. There was a lovely little fairy wood a short walk from the cottage that led towards the sea and a lovely little pebble beach. The train station is also very close and was great for travelling in to Barmouth. The cottage was lovely and cosy and had everything we needed.

A wonderfully cozy cottage in an ideal spot — this was exactly the peaceful escape we were after. The cottage itself is warm and inviting, with a quiet, restful atmosphere that made it easy to completely unwind.

Nice bright spacious cottage. It was also lovely and quiet. Lots of pots, pans, cups and plates so easy to cook. The bath was nice and hot following the directions on water usage. Host was helpful and friendly. We could walk down to the local beach but it was pebbly. We walked up to the hill up from the church which was nice for a couple of hours and had amazing views. We went to the Waterfalls about a 20 minute drive away and did 2 different ones over 2 days. The little village 10 minutes away meant we could park and walk over to Barmouth (take cash for the toll) Local village shop good but closes at 5.30 so make sure you have everything you need.

It was our first time staying somewhere like this in the UK so don't know what's normal. There was a dishwasher but no dishwasher tablets. There was a little bit of washing up liquid. There was a fire but no logs. It would have been useful to know in advance to take them with us. Putting out the bins and sorting the recycling was a bit of a mission and we couldn't find the general waste bin. But that's probably as we are from Birmingham where we haven't had recycling collection for over a year.

Easy check-in via a key box. Lovely cosy living room and log burner. Well equipped kitchen. Parking a bonus. Excellent location and great communication from the owners.

Nothing although the outside could do with a freshen up but that in no way detracts from our stay
