Sage Cottage Buxton Family Getaway with Log Fire

Fantastic location 2 min walk into town centre parking for 2 cars was a great bonus lovely3 bedroom house well maintained plenty of room for 6 people

The attic bedroom gets very warm so a cooling fan would be a nice bonus also the towels need to be bath size they were great for children but far too small for adults

Big kitchen, shower was powerful, bigger room than you would think in a small cottage. Comfortable lounge. Practical location. Parking outside.

Mattresses and beds very uncomfortable. Pillows need renewing, they are very poor. Mould on the first floor bathroom ceiling, no ventilation unless the window is open. Needs a freshen up with the paint work.

Lots to like. Description & photos true to the property, with it being cosy, clean & comfortable. Everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare some meals in. Easy to find and within walking distance to centre of Buxton. Really liked the property guide & app which had all the info we needed.

Nothing really. Only small thing was the two bins outside the property were already full so we weren’t able to recycle properly.

The location, was very good. Just a short walk from the town and its wonderful sites. Overall the property was comfortable, and we would stay there again.

Property although comfortable, could do with a refresh and also extra supplies (toilet paper, dishwasher and washer tablets, etc.). The oven was not clean, and the outside bins were completely full.

As long burner is mentioned in the title, it would be nice to have logs on arrival and a working gas lighter.

Good base to explore the area

Very comfortable and attractive accommodation. Perfect for the 4 of us. Lots of great space in the kitchen diner and the lounge, both for the 4 of us staying and also for the 6 of us, when we hosted some other friends for a celebration meal The house is VERY conveniently situated only a few minutes' walk from the town centre. Perhaps a silly little thing - but I love the fact that some dish washer and washing machine pods were left in the cupboard. Makes a surprising difference - little details like that

Almost nothing! previous guest has obviously broken a couple of glasses in the past - so there were loads of wine glasses but barely enough ordinary drinking glasses. Some areas of the property are feeling a little faded and old - including the steps outside the front and back door which are a little bit wobbly (not ideal for our age group!). Shower and shower screen don't work very well together in the family bathroom - a lot of water ends up on the floor unless you're very careful. But all these things were very minor. We loved out stay

Excellent decor

The hot water wasn't turned on, so we had to report it. However it was fixed that night. So bad, but good

Comfortable bedrooms. Lovely kitchen, well equipped, including dishwasher tablets/washing up liquid etc. Easy walk into the town. Very quiet at night.

The tiny en-suite bathroom. The lack of added extras in the bedrooms/bathrooms - shampoo, tissues etc.
