Fabulous Flat close to Town & Countryside, Matlock

Excellent location, lovely view from living area. Easy to park and walk into Matlock, lovely area with lots to do and see. Property very cold on arrival (open window and heating set to 14) but warmed up quickly.

Smaller than expected. Bedroom very small and cramped with no window and radiator removed - amazed it was legally allowed to be converted like this although the bed could be placed against the opposite wall which would allow the radiator to be put back and give some room around the bed. Hard to fit more than 2 around the table and the fold up dining chairs are very uncomfortable. Shower room also very small and really needs to be refitted as grout was mouldy and the bottom of the vanity unit was peeling off. My own bathroom's not perfect, but it's better than this and I'm not charging people to stay in my house! Cleanliness not great - crumbs down the side of the sofa when we made up the bed, all of the mugs had cracked glaze inside, every plate and piece of cutlery we picked up needed to be washed first (appreciate this is the fault of previous guests), soap dispensers had brown slime (presumably rust and soap) around the pumps :-( We didn't have bedding for the sofa bed when we arrived and took a little while to get a response and some delivered. We were told that there were only 4 pillows for the property (but there were 3 of us and many people like 2 pillows). Luckily I had brought my own! We realised later we only had two towels between us and didn't want to bother the owner again. Strong smell of cannabis in the building on the day we left, but again this is not the owner's fault :-(

The flat was lovely and clean with gorgeous views across the valley from the living room window. Location walking distance to several good places to eat and drink.

The bedroom was claustrophobically small with no window which made the nice weather difficult to manage, and the kitchen needs a teapot.

Beautiful comfortable flat, well stocked with essentials plus DVDs and games to entertain the children. Lovely and clean, quiet and everything we needed

No complaints at all. I don’t think the toaster worked unless I was using it wrong (probably!) but I just popped the bread under the grill, no issues!

Great location, easy ground floor access, dog friendly.

Lovely flat with great kitchen and bathroom facilities. All clean and easy check in. Location is less than walk from town and close to several pubs. It is up a hill but that's true of most of Matlock!

The view was lovely. Very quiet location, and within walking distance of the town.

Great little super clean flat. Would be great in the colder months as is super-duper cosy. And the owners really lovely, very quick to sort out any issues.

Quiet location. Lots of free parking space outside the flat. Easy entry with code. Lovely view. Essentials provided inside.

The bedroom was small and it was quite difficult getting in and out of bed, especially if you were near the wall and elderly. We couldn't cool the flat down without opening the window. We needed some instructions for the thermostat.

Great location, lovely cosy and clean flat which suited us perfectly and dog friendly too so our dog Zelda had a great break with us.

Nothing we didn't like but we could've done with a more detailed description of the local area in the welcome pack. For example restaurants, pubs, local attractions and any recommendations the owners have.
