Fabulous Flat close to Town & Countryside, Matlock

The flat is beautifully done up. The bathroom is beautifully tiled . The views from the window were beautiful!!

The flat is beautifully done up ,however, it is not maintained or cleaned thoroughly. The bathroom is beautifully tiled but the shower grout was filthy. (I have photos) We had to clean it before we used it. The television had such poor reception that we could not watch it at all. There are several dark stains on the carpet in several different areas. (I have pictures) The refrigerator has no freezer section. We had to throw away some of the meat we brought with us to eat at tea time. The flat was extremely hot with only one window for ventilation, however, there were two fans left for our use and we were able to sleep. The two seater sofa is broken and you sink down into it quite far making it uncomfortable. (I have a photo) The folding wooden chairs used around the glass table are very uncomfortable. The views from the window were beautiful!! We would not stay there again.

Great location, short walk into Matlock (hill down and back up to the flat, no problem if you are mobile). Everything you need, clean, great access arrangement. Quiet area, pubs close by, great dog friendly place.

A slightly higher sofa - current one a bit low for getting on and off. Slightly later leaving time, maybe 10.30/11.00. 10.00 a bit early after a late night.

Great, comfy & modern apartment. Felt like home from home. Also the kitchen has everything you need. Beautiful view in the morning!

Got woken up by neighbours coming home at 3am on Saturday - but that can happen anywhere!

Clear instructions on how to get in. Everything needed in the apartment for our weekend stay. Comfy bed and a hot shower. Easy free on street parking outside the apartment. Great base to explore the local area. Owners were extremely helpful and friendly.

The location was perfect for us and the hosts make it simple by there not being keys, just keypads to gain access. We hope they change the doorcode frequently though! The flat was clean, bright, warm and well equipped. We didn’t use the washing machine or cook anything but it was good to know we had the option. Wifi worked fine. The bed itself was comfy but see my comments about the bedroom.

The bedroom is an internal room without any windows. There is a small skylight but it only provides light from the hallway outside. Not having windows made it feel a bit claustrophobic, we kept the bedroom door open to ensure air was circulating. Also, the double bed fits exactly into the width of the room at the head end, so you have to climb in from the foot of the bed. This also means there is nowhere to put a glass of water. I always need about a pint during the night so had to either scramble to the foot of the bed, or balance a glass on the tiny corner shelf higher up the wall, and feel my way up in the dark! I think the bed situation would make it unlikely we would choose to stay in this flat again which is a shame as it was good otherwise. Note: the photo on the booking site shows the sofabed in the lounge room, which does have space around it.. We could presumably have slept in that but it would have meant getting the bed out each night and sleeping on a sofa bed is never going to be as comfy as a real bed.

Very clean, lovely decorated. Beautiful views over the hills. Great amenities and close to town, you do have to walk down and up a steep hill to get into town but helps burn off the food

The only negative was it was to hot, only 1 window which was open but it was stifling to sleep and settle. They did provide a room fan but I am such a light sleeper, it was to noisy. This couldn’t be helped with the heatwave.
