Fabulous Flat close to Town & Countryside, Matlock

I'm an avid hill walker and hiker, so when I spotted Emily and Rob's flat perched up on the hill, I just knew it would be worth the climb for those views! Really clean, well-presented flat. Some very generous 'home comforts' provided such as condiments, biscuits and toiletries (which really help when you're away for only a few days and don't want to buy loads in). Super view from the lounge (obviously!) and a very quiet block. Town centre/Co-op/Sainsbury's and so on are only 12 mins or so on foot and the Derwent line/rail links are equally close and handy. It is quite steep getting back up the hill minus a car - but there are buses/taxis locally (though I didn't use them), and it's the trade-off for a unique view of the cliffs and landscape out your window. Lots of walking opportunities both locally and a short journey away. Don't miss the High Peak Trail; it's incredible!

The bedroom got quite warm - but a tower fan is provided, and leaving the lounge window open a tiny crack at night helps cool it down a lot.

Good location and value, clean and well equipped, easy to access with door code and parking right outside

Bed was a little hard but that’s the only thing to call out really!

Ideal position for the party venue, lovely views around, the flat was clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful really enjoyed our stay, thank you, some nice doggy walks around too

Unfortunately the bedroom ceiling leaking from upstairs the last night of our stay. Both Rob & Emily responded promptly & was apologetic to the situation & tried to help us the best way available to them at the time.

Rob & Emily are fabulous hosts. The flat is in a perfect location for exploring town and there is parking available just outside the property. I arrived at the flat on Friday evening and parked easily, access to the property is by keycode which makes it straight forward to come and go. The flat was very clean and fully equipped with everything you need to be self sufficient during your stay. I needed to amend my booking slightly and Rob managed the amendment efficiently and with no fuss. Matlock is my hometown and I have found the ideal place to stay during my visits back to Derbyshire. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Matlock, the flat is a gem in a beautiful part of the country. Thank you Rob & Emily.
