Regenta Beach House Resort, Goa

The view and the ambiance

They made sure that the payment is taken in full, even before showing the room. The room itself was near the sea without a good view of it. The TV and phone were not working. The floor and ceiling were made of wood, so there was a lot of noise with people just walking in the floor above. The food was poor and only breakfast served in the premises. For other meals we had to go to the neighboring property. So when I checked out earlier, they have refused to give me the bills or refund for the extra day. They promised to send the bills by email, which is not yet come after two days. The staff toilet was near my room and there was a lot of noise through the night of them working or talking loudly.

The beach was right in front of the resort and you can walk down to Benaulim or Colva walking along the beach path. The beach adjacent to the resort (Sornabatim) is very clean and not crowded at all. Greenery inside the facility was appreciable.

Service was very slow. No basic shops around the facility. Charged exorbitantly for food and beverage. AC started pouring water inside the room in the middle of the night. They could only fix it temporarily. The incident recurred again and again during the stay. Finally we had to move to a different resort altogether. But no monetory compensation offered by this facility. No shopping options or markets around this facility. Felt like a prisoner. It was very noisy and disturbing over the weekend when more guests checked in. Not recommended.

Location

Not very clean, bed was hard as a rock, didn’t tell us any information, like you can book a massage there, you CANT eat at the hotel, you have to go to their other hotel to eat, but also need to get a buggy there. Hairdryer falls off the wall when you try to use it, aircon drips on floor, so unsafe, two towels but no hand towel etc. if they put more effort into the place. It could be very successful.

Location. Very close to beach. Also room is spacious.

Buffet dinner wasn’t worth the price. Breakfast place wasn’t clean. There were ants wandering close to the foods.

As soon I checked in they demanded the full money. I blocked the rom with my credit card a month in advance but they didn't trust and demanded full money. I obliged. Every time you order something, they come with card machine to pay immediately. What the heck!! I asked for a second key and they said it is chargeable. Most irritating part was this key stopped working atleast 5 times in two days if my stay there. Overall, pathetic experience with their policies.

Location a d view was the only plus.

Location very good as well as the staff.

Difficult to find the place as the name of the property does not match the name in Booking. Our Taxi driver almost gave up. Breakfast is quite bad, no decent coffee.
