Unique Luxurious 17-Century Smart Chapel in Historical Center - Sintra WOW

The location is nice. We stayed in the Chapel, which was nice. It has a small kitchen and some technical gadgets, which is nice. It was clean.

We had no hot water during our stay and it was impossible to contact the host. They ignored us and did nothing to fix this.

The beds were good and location not bad

TERRIBLE owner. Did not send us an access code. It took an hour and a half for them to call back with a code to get in. We were not the only ones with that problem as three other people we talked to that had trouble. Once in the unit, we realized we needed a different access code to get out. Very dangerous if they had not answered the phone. Extremely poor communication. I would run from this place. Luxurious if only you think it is like a secondhand store. Musty smell, lukewarm at best shower. A person who lives close by said this happens all the time - that people cannot get into the unit.

Someone park their car, and we cannot park ours, try to find person, then the dad of the owner help us.

Era curioso, habitaciones grandes y camas cómodas. El baño grande.

Es la primera reseña negativa que escribo, pero no puedo dejarlo pasar. Es una casa muy fría, tiene radiadores pero en espacios amplios como el salón comedor no era suficiente. Menaje de cocina muy escaso para 4 personas, platos y vasos contados. Una sola taza para tomar café. Lo peor la comunicación con los anfitriones, no contestan a los mensajes ni cogen el teléfono. Desde las 12h que les escribimos para decirles que estábamos en camino, sólo mandaron un mensaje “tipo” para decirnos que la máquina de pacman estaba rota y que iban a intentar arreglarla antes de nuestra llegada, cosa innecesaria ya que no contestaron a ninguna de las otras preguntas que les hicimos. Al llegar les llamamos varias veces porque un coche había ocupado la plaza donde teníamos que aparcar, y nos contestaron a las 23h cuando ya estábamos acostados. Estuvimos dando vueltas hasta que lo dejamos en un sitio que supusimos que no molestaba, pero sin tener ninguna garantía. Otros huéspedes estaban en la misma situación, intentando localizarles y no había manera. Íbamos con 2 niñas pequeñas y me pareció vergonzoso. Si tienes huéspedes lo mínimo es tener el móvil operativo. No repetiría en este alojamiento y no lo recomiendo.

It's such a unique, lovely place to stay! This former chapel compound is very special and we enjoyed our brief stay there. While we never saw the hosts in person, they made everything very easy to access, including detailed info on how & where to leave our luggage prior to check in. It's in a VERY convenient location to everything you will want to see in Sintra, as well as the town center with restaurants and shops. The whole place is connected via Google to adjust lights and music. It is just a charming, well-designed space with fun vibes, a nice shower and great, comfortable beds! And I would remiss not to give a shout out to the biggest, yet sweetest "host" of all - their giant, sweetheart of a dog - Charlie! Any time I'm in the area, I will definitely check for availability here first!

Nothing - it was all great!

Location is great. My kids loved the smart features and had fun with the lights and music. The host made videos which were helpful. They had games for the kids and wine opener and glasses for us.

Parking was a bit confusing but luckily available in an area hard to park.
