"Comfortable stay, exceptional service."

We booked this property very last minute after being let down staying somewhere else. We honestly can't thank you enough for a lovely stay. From reserving online the property was ready for us in 30 minutes. It's clean, comfortable and a great base to explore from. Thank you again for accommodating us so last minute.

Very comfortable place to stay and perfect location for us as we were visiting Haweswater. Everything was spotlessly clean, felt cosy and had everything we needed. Alastair was great with communication and helpful. Would definitely come stay again.

"Ideal family stop on a long journey."

We were warm, it was ideal for three generations. Warm as toast - and it was cold out. Toughfully provided basics. Almost time travel decor with one or two loose knobs etc (mended for them) but the water and heating was excellent. Shower we didn't use on advice from the owner. Didn't really matter, we were just driving North back to Edinburgh from Cotswolds, ideal break spot.

It could do with some modernising of decor, but actually it was what it was, and right sort of value. Kitchen well equipped and worked. We bought in food from the wonderful Appeby services though that requires detour.

"ok but wouldn’t use again"

it was warm upstairs

not happy with the bathroom as did not have shower curtain and only attached to taps so couldn’t use there was a shower downstairs next to kitchen small and cold couldn’t use as low pressure so could not have shower at all

"Peaceful New Year break in a great property - not beaten by the rain"

Good location, great space inside and particularly the living room with enough room and seating for all of our party. Alastair was a great communicator. Kitchen facilities were good. Parking no problem even for three cars.

Light in the dining area was really dim. We took a lamp from the living room. No proper kitchen bin was a bit of a nuisance as we were preparing food. Mostly we had little to complain about even in the torrential rain!

The house was home from home it was lovely and clean perfect location easy access as we were visiting family for Christmas the gentlemen that owns it kept InTouch and was extremely accommodating when we asked for another couple of nights we will definitely be staying again

There isn't anything we didn't like
