"We love visiting this area - you can walk all day and hardly see anyone, and the cottage is a great vase."

The cottage is in an ideal location for walking in the Howgills and surrounding area, the owner was friendly and answered any queries immediately and the welcome food was a nice touch. The cottage itself is lovely and there is a pub literally metres away which did good value and tasty food.

We booked at short notice due to bad weather on our motorbike trip and being the advanced adventure bikers that we are, didn’t want to get wet 😅. The booking was confirmed and the host promptly sent instructions on how to get there, what to do when there along with a whole load of information about the surrounding area. The cottage was clean, comfortable and just what we wanted - we even wanted to stay an extra night but unsurprisingly it was already booked up. I would definitely recommend this cottage as a place to stay with a pub/restaurant around the corner and a local sports and social club literally on the door step. If we’re ever in the area and bravely running away from rain again we will 100% look at this place first.! Thanks.!

It was perfect for what we wanted to do. It was just off M6 with all access to Windermere, Scotland and Keswick. Not many grocery stores or eateries to choose from in Tebay, so make sure you pick something up. Quaint little village. The host provided a little basket of breakfast items to start us off- very kind
