Great location for us as a stop en route from Edinburgh to London. Free parking. Dog friendly. Lovely garden. Walking distance to many bars and restaurants. Staff exceptional. Breakfast very nice - an unusual presentation - just go with it.

En suite shower very cramped but for one night not a problem.

The rooms are in a very old building so a few elements are not perfect, as you might get in a modern setting, but this is made up for with lots of lovely touches, delightful staff and superb food offering, both at breakfast and the evening tasting menu

"A very comfortable stay with attentive staff in the middle of town close to the beautiful cathedral."

The breakfast was very good quality. We had the continental choice and enjoyed it very much. Having just bought an electric car, the availability of charging facilities in a nearby car park was great!
