"If you like something a little different...."

A really interesting place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable with usual facilities apart from a TV. The staff were very helpful and friendly and clearly enjoyed working there. It's an interesting building with a fascinating history. B&B guests have access to house, chapels, exhibitions and grounds, which are both interesting and highly decorative. This is not your average B&B , but if you like something a little different I really recommend it.

It's quite a trek from the visitors car park, and the house is huge with long corridors. The accessible parking nearer the accommodation had lots of ordinary parking spots and given the small number of guests I wonder why these were unavailable to b&B guests? It would have made life easier when loading/unloading the car.

Only a continental breakfast was available, but everything was fresh. A tour around the facilities is strongly recommended. In particular, the chapel is stunningly beautiful.

All the staff are excellent nothing is to much trouble and very helpful . Rooms are clean , great place to look around in the house and gardens are lovely to walk around .continental breakfast is good . Highly recommend a visit here, I would definitely book to stay here again if I am in the area .

"Lovely historic building but basic bed and breakfast."

The house and gardens are wonderful. The staff who greeted us were friendly and helpful.

The fire alarm went off (apparently a fault) just as our young grandchildren were being settled for bed (after a long and tiring day at a family event). This caused them great distress as they were frightened by the noise and being taken out the room to evacuate. The bed in one room was too soft with springs that went right down and terribly uncomfortable for myself with joint problems.
