Beautiful Apartment 3 Mins To The Beach

Excellent location - quiet street but very close to lovely restaurants and bars and cool shops - and the sea!

The property was spacious and warm bed very comfortable and quiet area. Had an air fryer which was great didn’t need as we were eating out bus useful to warm up croissant without having to use the oven.

We have been to St Leonards before and the area is looking a little unloved, but plenty of shops a restaurants, very close to the beach and excellent transport links.

Location, location, location! A short, easy walk from the train station and a few minutes from the main street shops and restaurants. A very quiet, comfortable, well-equipped apartment.

Not a “dislike” but some written information on how to use things like the tv and cooktop would be very helpful (particularly for overseas visitors like us, where the equipment is different and can be confusing).

Great stay as always. Very peaceful and great value for money.

There is one small thing: not so much an issue, more a heads up. The pipes make noises when the heating is on. Did not bother us at all, but something to know.

Getting in was very easy, straight from the train - easy to find and keys were not a problem. The space was clean, tidy, and ready for us - we unpacked and went and picked up a grocery shop - lots of options around the corner. Wifi was easy to connect to, lots of options on the TV, and a good amount of appliances and utensils to cook with. Hosts very graciously lent us an extension cable when we asked, which was very kind indeed. The space was easy to heat up and cool down, the bed was comfy and sleep was equally as easy.

One thing we noticed was the 2 inches or so between the kitchen floor and carpet, there a bunch of pins / staples stuck up from the carpet we stepped on - ended up putting down a towel to step on instead. No big deal, but odd. We also found that the wifi blocked a few obscure sites (Patreon? Reddit?). We also, while cooking, noticed no smoke detector. About 4 hours later, we did find the smoke detector - because it randomly went off and scared us.
