The Cruck Barn, cosy rural escape near The Peak District

We received a very warm welcome from Hilary and Gary, The Cruck barn was great. The welcome pack for us and the dogs was a lovely touch .The cruck barn was immaculate and so cosy every thing was perfect

The barn was home from home, everything you needed was there along with little extra touches. Beautiful location, amazing views and wonderful hosts.

Perfect the best one by a mile

Hilary and Gary provided the perfect location to enjoy your stay. The Cruck Barn is lovely, home baked scones, clotted cream, and strawberry jam to welcome you with. Plus, freshly laid eggs were provided by Hilary's chickens. Private secure parking, kitchen with everything you need, cosy seating area next to a beautiful log burner and small tv and a dining area, and that is just the first room. Upstairs, you are greeted with a big airy room with french doors on to a balcony area with a table and chairs. Big comfortable bed and a sofa and larger smart tv with a lovely bathroom and an easy to use shower. A country garden with pastures to roam, and another patio set, there's also a bbq if required. It's so quiet apart from Hilary's chickens' soft clucking sounds, which are so relaxing 😌 I've stayed in several places in this area, and Hilary and Gary have something very special here. We will definitely visit again.

Nothing - it was perfect

The accommodation was spotless and well presented. It was spacious and very suitable for two people sharing. The hosts were excellent, going out of their way to make the stay pleasurable.

Beautiful property nicely away from any main roads and people lovely walks and close to surrounding villages.Large field next to the property to sit and relax and let the dogs have a run around.
