Hilary and Gary were amazing hosts! The care they put into Cruck Barn and in making sure guests have a great time is superb. Delicious scones, lots of local knowledge about walks, just perfect.

The Cruck Barn looks lovely in the photos but in reality it is even better, larger than I expected and extremely high quality in every way

Fantastic location and was given access to the meadow behind the house which was perfect for us and the dog. Everything you needed for a short break or a couple of weeks away.

Beautiful property and location. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

As a woman staying on my own, I felt safe at the property and whilst walking my dog around the streets outside both during the day and at night time. The hosts were friendly, polite and helpful and the entire barn was absolutely beautiful with everything that someone could need available. The bed, chairs and sofa were super comfy and the views from the balcony were stunning. If I could be allowed to, I'd live there permanently! To anyone wanting to take a break in Matlock or visit the surrounding areas of The Derbyshire Dale's and/or The Amber Valley etc, I highly recommend booking this as your holiday home.

Beautiful, cosy cottage with lots of personal touches to make your stay extra special. Amazing views and lots to do in the local area. Hillary made us feel very welcome and even had a lovely doggy bag of treats for our Rottie - Bronny. Would highly recommend a stay ❤️

Nothing, everything was perfect.

We received a lovely warm welcome from Hilary when we arrived. The barn is beautiful and cosy, very well equipped, everything has been thought about, it had everything we needed for a weekend break. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the lovely log burner! The home made scones, jam, clotted cream, fresh eggs, milk and Prosecco were a lovely treat! Thank you for a lovely stay, we will definitely be returning soon.
