The Cruck Barn, cosy rural escape near The Peak District

Superb and the place was excellent clean tidy and the hosts well they went above and beyond fresh eggs scones sherry wine dog treats etc etc

We really enjoyed our stay at Cruck Barn. The photos online are very accurate but what they don't show you is all the little extras that are given, and the lovely warm welcome from Hilary and Gary. On arrival we were given a brief tour & soon settled on the sofa to enjoy the beautiful view with the homemade scones, ground coffee and milk from the fridge. The barn is in a lovely peaceful location with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The White Hart pub is a short drive away with a varied menu and the food was delicious. We have already decided to visit the barn again next year as it's such a lovely relaxing place.

We had a very relaxing couple of days at The Cruck Barn. We were made so welcome by the hosts who had left us some very welcome treats on arrival . The accommodation was immaculate with everything you needed and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The location was ideal with some lovely walks from the doorstep.

The Cruck Barn is a little gem of a place. Stunning views from the front door and the balcony off the bedroom. Hilary and Gary are so welcoming and have thought of everything you might need for your stay. Spotlessly clean, quiet and well maintained in beautiful surroundings, a perfect place for a couples get away.

We loved the peace and quiet, the balcony and views, the spacious and cosy rooms and the hosts were lovely. Loads of great places to visit nearby. Thoughtful extras and well equipped for self catering. Very happy with our stay.

Beautiful location. 5* star bed & bedding. Very clean with everything we needed for a restful break. Hillary & Gary were exceptionally generous hosts providing homemade scones, jam & clotted cream, fresh eggs & a bottle of Prosecco. The little touches of flowers from their garden also made it homely. They were always available if we needed help or advice. Thank you.

Clear directions to the property, warm welcome on arrival. Lots of special, indvidual touches such as fresh cut flowers, fresh baked scones and a chilled bottle of prosecco. The visitors guide was extremely helpful and we couldn't have asked for more. The bedding, towels etc were of a high quality and the bed was very comfortable. We would highly recommend Cruck Barn to couples looking for a romantic, relaxing retreat.

We liked everything and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
