The Cruck Barn, cosy rural escape near The Peak District

Amazing little treats on arrival, as well as a log burner all loaded and ready to go. Great views from the bedroom / balcony. Really clean, well decorated. Nice and warm in the bedroom with the central heating, a really great place to relax. Our 2 little dogs loved it too, and even received their own little treats and towels.

There was nothing we didn't like, wish we could have stayed a bit longer.

Host was brilliant catered for all our needs and the room was superb

Wonderful hospitality from Hilary and Gary - prosecco, milk, homemade scones and eggs from their chickens to welcome us. Also lots of tips on how to get the most from the accommodation and the local area. The converted barn is so comfortable and cozy and had everything we could've possibly wanted. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was extremely well equipped.

The barn was absolutely stunning, unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side and if it was it probably would have look even better. The view from the balcony even at night was beautiful. Hilary and Gary were lovely hosts. Hilary met us when we arrived, she showed us around the barn and how things worked and even made changed to accommodate us.

Such a friendly greeting welcoming us to a stunning barn conversion where every little detail seems to have been considered. Very well equipped in terms of utensils and crockery. Plenty space in both the living area and in the bedroom where you will find a most comfortable bed and a beautiful ensuite. There are games, books and videos aplenty and lots of information on the history of the building and the area as well as advice on places to visit and to eat. The barn is in the midst of wonderful walking country and boasts a magnificent view from its charming balcony across five counties.

Its hard to think of any obvious improvement.
