Location was fairly close to Death Valley

There was a horrible smell all throughout the hotel. The air conditioner was rattling and right on the wall an inch from the bed. It clicked on and off loudly all night. The mattress was covered by a plastic pad that did not breath so I sweat all night. Probably slept 30 minutes all night. Should be a historical site, not a hotel!

"Minimum comfort but you stay in a legendary place."

A legendary location that calls for places in Morocco or Sahara. Watch the desert from a dusty unsteady iron chair, and the sunrise through Mt. Charleston. Then there is the Amargosa Opera house and Marta Becket ghost.

You don’t come to this place for clean comfort or hot shower, some coffee only after 8am. Otherwise return to Las Vegas mega hotels.

"Hidden gem in the desert"

Hotel was super clean and quiet. Perfect location for Death Valley NP. Staff was wonderful. Take the opera house tour! Real talk. This place is not a 5 star hotel. It is old and quirky. There is wifi but no TV. But we loved it.

Only real complaint was the plumbing. Make sure to build in time for the water to warm up.
