New Cormorant Lake Resort & Yala Safari Place

The host was wonderful! She welcomed us with tea and fresh pineapple juice, and even offered us a free tour of the lake, where we got to see a variety of animals. She also organized an amazing safari for us — many thanks to her friend, the driver, who gave us a truly wow experience! Highly recommended!

The place is beautiful with a lot of plants everywhere around. And the service was incredible!! He took us on a free tour around the lake to see crocodiles, bats and owls. He also organized us the safari to yala for a good price. And on the last day a part from a tasty breakfast he explained us all the plants and fruits on his ground and we tried a lot of tasty fruits! Very recommendable!!

Really amazing stay, the hosts is so friendly and gave us two free safari tours in the jungle where we saw crocodiles, many birds, owls, bats, and much more!! You really have to stay with him!! Very clean and beautiful house

Gayan was an incredible host, he took me on a sunset tour of the lake to spot wildlife and then after we searched for owls. The property is a nice home stay and perfect right in front of the lake. He was also so helpful and dropped me into town several times - really recommend this place.

The location is beautiful, opposite the lake (the photos do not do it justice)! The garden around the house is full of lush greenery, and lovely to spend time in. The host is extremely friendly and helpful - he offered to take us on a tuk-tuk tour around the lake to spot birds and crocodiles, free of charge! He also got up at 4.30am to make us tea before our safari! I would definitely recommend staying here.

We were here in May and it was very hot and humid. Despite having a fan and a cooling unit (non AC), the room was quite hot. But this did not prevent us from getting a good night's sleep!

Staying here felt like visiting a beloved uncle it truly felt like home. The hosts are incredibly kind and thoughtful; the father even woke up at 4 AM to prepare us coffee before our safari and greeted us like family when we returned. The location is peaceful and beautifully set near a lake full of different bird species. The garden is well maintained and tastefully decorated, the bed was very comfortable, and the room had a portable AC and fans everywhere for a cool, restful stay. I’ve never felt more welcomed an unforgettable experience. Hope I can come back soon to the same place and see the amazing parents who hosted us.
