Merton House - Entire Modern City Centre Home

Very little I liked about the property and was very disappointed

The property was not maintained to an acceptable standard, and the photos on the website did not accurately reflect its current condition. We booked the house for the weekend, but upon arrival, the designated parking space was occupied by a tenant from another property. The house smelled strongly of smoke and was generally unclean throughout. The bathroom window was broken, leaving an approximate one-inch gap, and the downstairs French doors had dropped and no longer sealed properly, allowing daylight through. We were also informed that the property was on the market. The letting agent contacted me the night before our arrival asking whether we could accommodate a viewing during our stay. I explained that we would be spending time at the property with family and could not accommodate this, yet they proceeded to send two further messages asking again if access could still be arranged. In addition, the tumble dryer still contained bedding from previous guests, and even the fluff from the filter had been left on the side instead of being disposed of properly. There were many more issues I could have photographed, but the review only allows four pictures to be uploaded. I would definitely not recommend this property.

Despite our personal circumstances which weren't great, we had a lovely stay in this apartment. There was enough room for us 4, the kitchen has pretty much all that you need and it was overall decently clean. The apartment is located close to the centre of Leicester which is great. The host was very friendly and communicated well with us. Thanks again.

For me personally the beds/matresses were a bit on the hard side, but this might be good for others. The shower has a tendency to change temperature every so often and there are some stains on the sofa.

This hotel completely ruined our Christmas holidays. The bed sheets and towels were stained, and the sofa was dirty, making the room feel unhygienic. The owner provided no support or solution after we reported the issue. Because of this, we had no choice but to leave and book another hotel, causing extra stress and costs during Christmas. I strongly do not recommend this place.

The whole process was easy and property is perfect

House was a good size for 4 people, street was quiet.
