Lovely Charmouth cottage with log fire & garden close to beach

A lovely cottage with a large living room with open fire and an enormous kitchen, great for entertaining.The bedrooms are large and comfortable. Great place to stay and an easy walk to Lyme Regis. Convenient local facilities close by. The local shop stocks everything you need. Unfortunately when we went, both pubs were closed.

We really enjoyed the location and walked from the cottage to Lyme Regis along the beach and back through the countryside. Shower room and lounge were really warm and cosy. Bedrooms were cosy too.

Kitchen was very cold throughout our visit but it was freezing outside. No onside parking although advert says there is. It was easy to find onstreet free parking though.

Garden was very nice, the bedrooms were warm and beds comfortable.

Owners belongings and food still in property, kitchen always very cold, kitchen cabinet doors and knobs fell off in our hands, curtains in frontroom had to be repaired by my husband,multi stains on matresses, bad draughts from front door and windows. Parking was terrible, had to park my beloved car a long way away and out of view. Whole kitchen needs revamping really.. Bathrooms were clean but mirrors, kitchen and front room very dusty..

Everything was suitable for our needs

My fossil obsessed son and I loved our stay at this 'home way from home' in Charmouth. All host communications were prompt, friendly and clear. Directions and access instructions were straightforward. We were also able to easily find on-street parking within a short walk of the property. The house itself has three bedrooms (two doubles and a twin (bunk beds)), all were comfortable and warm during our November stay. The upstairs bathroom consists of a bath with wall-mounted shower adaptor. Plentiful and (very) hot water was always available when we needed it. The downstairs WC is very warm and has a fantastic higher pressure shower cubicle. We found the heated towel rail very handy to dry our clothes after a very wet fossil walk. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with necessities and some fantastic information about the local area. It is also a dog friendly house, although standards of cleanliness were high, so there was no evidence of previous guests' pets. The lounge was warm and comfortable with a large and smart flatscreen TV. The bookcases are also stocked with many CDs and DVDs. We also appreciated the kids' games that were available to borrow. Overall, I would highly recommend the property to groups of friends or families with young or older children.

A really Lovely house in good location. Very nice garden with table and chairs etc, large kitchen with everything necessary; dog friendly facilities, there is a walk in shower if one can’t handle the bath, the beds were ok but a bit too soft for us. Living room with large entertainment centre. We’d stay here again.

We were disappointed that there was no terrestrial tv although there was a huge entertainment centre which we couldn’t access as it was too complicated. Perhaps there was access to streaming but we didn’t know how to get there. If we’d stayed longer, we would have asked the hosts. Also the mattresses were too soft. But in all a very nice place.
