The Southgate B&B

The manager greeted us with a smile and in general every one was very friendly and helpful. The facilities are quite adequate and overall reminded me of a Premier Inn. Everything was super clean.

We booked the "large apartment" which was on the ground floor opposite the reception and next to the entrance. Consequently one could hear very clearly everything going on. Thankfully, very little was going on between 11pm and 7am but still, unless you sleep with earplugs or are hard of hearing, don't stay there. The breakfast is mediocre but bear in mind we are European and quite fussy.

The property was well kept, and in a great location. Very friendly owners, who you can tell work hard to please their guests.

There was nothing to dislike

Warm welcome from friendly staff, nice spacious room and a good breakfast. Spot on.

I wasn't feeling to well unfortunately which was ashame but the b&b was really nice and the staff kept asking after me, they made the effort to remember everyone's name it was really homely and I would Def re-visit and recommend.

Clean and comfortable and good communication from the owner.
