Sugarloaf Beach House & Surf Lodge

The location is wonderful

The property is an abandoned ranch. Rooms are open to the outside and mosquitoes and bugs are all inside the room. The amenities are very old with no maintenance. The kitchen was awful and disgusting dirty. No WiFi as advertised. A very troubling facility. Don’t stay here unless you want to be bitten by mosquitoes and bugs like cattle.

Very nice place. Cool owners! Best location next to a quiet and beautiful beach. Lots of hamacs, and place yo chill there. Surf lesson available also.

The Location was nice

It was dirty and untidy. The bathroom wasn‘t clean at all, it was disgusting. We found dead animals in the kitchen, e.g. frogs, and unwashed dishes were standing around. Dog food was standing around on plates. We could not look our room. The stuff didn‘t clean the place at all. In front of our door there was a pile of earth.

The location is unreal, right on the beach front with a stunning view of the sunset. I love garden of the property too, super chill with a nice amount of hammocks!

I thought it could have been a bit cleaner, the fridge had lots of debris of food and the surfaces in the kitchen were black when I wiped with a tissue. My main issue would be that there was no hand soap, anywhere on site! Which is pretty gross, I have a body soap that doubles up as a hand soap so I was okay but it means that every single person in that place wasn’t washing there hands or at least properly with soap. Not good from a hygiene perspective.

The location is spectacular, 10/10. It feels relaxed and peaceful. The place doesn't offer any amenities, so you need to bring EVERYTHING you might need, including food and bedding.

The cleanliness is poor — it seems like they never take out the trash. The place also needs maintenance. The listing mentioned that breakfast was available, but that’s not true. You can’t pay with a card, only cash.

The location was fantastic....right on the beach. Perfect place for Surfers and sun worshippers. It was quiet and relaxing. Very close to other great El Salvador surf spots (Punta Mango and Las Flores). The host, Kata, was friendly, helpful, and informative. Thanks for a great stay.

I wish we could have stayed longer. Never enough time in a beautiful place. What? No towels? Remember to bring your own...missed that in the description...oops.

My boyfriend stayed there and he said that everything was okay! I quote his words: "de película la verdad, un pedacito de paraíso en oriente". I hope to visit it one day too! :)
