Heerlijk verblijf gehad hier! Uit te drukte van de stad en echt even bijkomen met een fantastische familie. Ruime goed ingerichte kamer met een heerlijk groot bed. Prachtige badkamer en fantastische tuin. Beste kookles van Sri Lanka, dus ook heerlijk gegeten. Hou er wel rekening mee dat de weg naar de accommodatie veel steile stukken bevat, dit was prima te doen met onze eigen tuktuk.

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful! Location was remote but beautiful. Easy tuk tuk ride to town. Hosts very friendly and helpful, especially Nandy and her wonderful cooking class.

You'll find peace here. The homestay is situated deep inside a village surrounded by dense forest and run by a beautiful family. Definitely a place for food lovers, credits to the chef!

The staff members were very kind. The ladies whipped us up a delicious lunch when we arrived hungry. The staff also arranged tuktuks for us to our various activities.

Room smelled a bit musty

Yea, it is a bit out of the city and but why would you stay in Kandy in the center where it is noisy and busy ? Room was spotless clean and er y cozy. Food was delicious. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted not just as guests, but truly as friends. The warmth and hospitality of Sudesh’s family made this one of the most memorable stays of our trip. The food was absolutely delicious – all home-cooked meals prepared with love by the owner’s family, and every bite felt like a taste of authentic Sri Lankan home life. The guesthouse is located a little outside the busy town of Kandy, which turned out to be a big plus – peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature, making it a perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the entire atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We left with full hearts (and stomachs!), and we would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine and heartwarming stay in Kandy!

Loved the authenticity of the stay with local family.

The location is far from the center but the authenticity was awesome.

Second time in this little paradise, we came back almost on purpose only to spend more time with Sudesh, Nandi and the whole family. Amazing place, very very clean, outside of the busy Kandy, huge breakfast included, the most comfortable rooms. This time we did a cooking class with Nandi which was one the highlights of our trip! The hospitality at Kandy Food Lovers is the highest level ever ♡ We felt at home all the time! Sudesh, Nandi and the whole family welcomed us so warmly, it’s THE place you would never leave. Besides, the rooms are super cozy, lovely decorated, big and comfortable beds, the cleanest place we have been in a month in Sri Lanka. The position is a bit outside of the chaos of Kandy, which means peace, surrounded by green, in a very quiet piece of heaven. You’ll get all the information and help needed to reach the place with constant and good communication via WhatsApp or call. During our stay, Sudesh took care of us since we got a problem with the tuk tuk we rented and he spent the whole morning with us, getting our vehicle to two mechanics and contacting the rental company for us. We have no words to thank him for the pleasant stay and the great help and wonderful hospitality we received. Sudesh and his family are AMAZING people and we wish all the best ♡
