Amazing place - this may be the best place I stay in Sri Lanka. It is not in city center but is a short tuk tuk ride away. The room is lovely, the bed huge and comfortable (best night sleep!) and the grounds are lovely (great for catching up on travel / life admin in a great setting). The food they served was fantastic. All in all I really loved my stay here and it the value for the cost was phenomenal.

The bathroom hose was a bit too powerful...

The room was clean, calm and had a nice terrace. Whatever we needed, for example, cutlery, dishes, hot water, we got it. The host and his family were incredibly nice and the breakfast was extensive and tasty.

The location: it's outside town, so you definitely need a Tuk Tuk or a scooter to get there. Public busses only pass the main road, which is about a 25 minutes walk away from the accommodation. It's even more tricky to get away from the accommodation, as PickMe does not work there. So you need a local, "regular" and thus way more expensive Tuk Tuk to get to the main road and to take a PickMe or bus from there on. For example, we payed the same amount of money from the accommodation to the main road as we did from Kandy city center to the accommodation with PickMe.

The whole place is rustic but functional, using tasteful wooden features, and had a great view and garden set in the jungle. The family were incredibly kind and attentive, making sure we always had everything we needed. The cooking class was OUT OF THIS WORLD, an absolute must do for anyone staying here or visiting. We were taught to make 8 different sri lankan curries and had more food than we could possibly eat. A truly authentic and brilliant experience.

We loved our stay here. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with a huge comfortable bed and warm shower. We enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy. We took part in a cooking class and ate some of the best food on our trip here. The breakfast spread was incredible - a huge variety to choose from that introduced us to many Sri Lankan specialities - it really is the place for food lovers!

We had such a lovely time here. The room is spacious, clean and the bed is super comfortable. We did the cooking class and it was a blast, the lady is so fun :) The owner of the house and his family are so nice. Would definitely recommend a stay here, outside of the chaos of the city.

The rooms were lovely and clean. The property is beautiful with surrounding trees. Hosts are helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Great value for money :)

The location was quite far from town so can be difficult to get tuks but we managed ok.
