The place is amazing in every single way. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Outstanding views and very quiet area, just 15 mins away from the city centre by tuk tuk. The family is lovely and very helpful. The food and the cooking class are beyond words. I definitely recommend this homestay to everyone one.

I loved everything. The room is super cozy and clean, the little patio is perfect for chilling. The little serene garden is a great place to be but the kitchen is where the magic happens. The dinner, the breakfast, the cooking class. My god. They spoiled me on my first days in Sri Lanka. I am happy I spent 4 nights here 🤗 could have stayed longer.

The owner is amazing, so friendly and helpful. He is always available to help you with anything. My phone was stolen (not in homestay but somewhere in the centre) and he went with us to the police and everything and really was so helpful through it all. Also the food was amazing and the rooms were very new and clean.

Location a little further from the centre but we liked that. Very quiet neighbourhood.

The rooms were really cozy and comfortable and we had a great sleep. The host and his family were really helpful. We were going on a hike, and host even sent a vehicle to pick our bags up from the city before check-in. Breakfast was great. They offered many types of food which was really tasty and fresh while also catering to our specific requests (eg: Allergies, Vegetarians). Overall a great experience.

There is nothing bad to say. The location is a bit far from the center of the town, but the host made sure we had no issues getting their by coordinating the transport for us

Sudesh and his family truly embody what hospitality is all about! 🙌 Our first stop in Sri Lanka was Kandy, and I remember calling my family back home to rave about how amazing our host was. From the moment we arrived, Sudesh and his family made us feel incredibly welcome. They were always there for us—whether it was arranging a tuk-tuk (sometimes even for free if someone else was going in the same direction), offering great recommendations, or treating us to a delicious spread of authentic Sri Lankan dishes. Communication was always easy and fast, and Sudesh was available by text or phone call anytime, which really made us feel safe and at ease. The room was so comfortable, the washroom spotless, and the air conditioning worked perfectly—everything was just spot on. But let me tell you about the food! If you stay with Sudesh, *do not* miss the lunch! I can't stress this enough—it was honestly the best meal I've ever had, and I might have gone into a food coma afterward. Sudesh’s mom went above and beyond, making extra dishes just for us, and they were so excited to share their cooking. It felt like visiting family who are eager to spoil you with their best recipes. The complimentary breakfast was also incredible—I've never seen such a generous spread! Unfortunately, we were only able to stay for one night, and I really wish we could have extended our time there. I absolutely recommend staying here if you're in Kandy. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and you'll be taken care of by some of the kindest hosts you could ask for. 100% would stay again!

It is such a beautiful property with the most kind, helpful and welcoming host family. The food is absolutely incredible and suggested activities for each day were well thought out. It felt like our hosts went above and beyond to make us feel safe, welcome and happy. They are a truely delightful family.

Lovely rooms, built with lots of love. The highlight is the breakfast and the hosting family! The location is a bit hidden, but the host will contact you through WhatsApp in advance and will make sure you get there.

We booked quite last minute and arrived in the evening, we were picked up and welcomed with a traditional Sri Lankan meal cooked by the amazing nana Nandi. The rooms are clean and the surroundings beautiful and quiet (apart from the beautiful nature sounds). Sudesh the owner is super helpful and tries to accommodate you in every need (from a Kandy tour, tuktuk service, or help by choosing a taxi driver, to a nice chat with a beer). The family has a lovingly warmth which makes you feel welcomed and at ease. We stayed here with our kids, but I would also recommend it to couples without. The fact that there are (almost) daily cooking classes makes it easy to meet people. To summarize: a recommendation from my heart! We will meet again <3

Literally nothing!

The guestroom is located in the families green garden and has a lot of space, even with a little are in the „second level“. We felt very welcome by the whole family from the first second on. As the house is located on a mountain hill, it was a bit tricky to get there, however, Sudesh organized it perfectly. The room is spacious, clean and had everything that was promised in the booking. The queen sized bed was super comfy and we had a good night rest despite the heavy rain that night. The breakfast was the best we had so far on our trip through Sri Lanka and we were even asked for any preferences on what to get & when to get it. Totally recommend!!
