Ridho's Homestay & Jungle Trekking

Very nice trekking, privately organised as I was with my 8 year old. Too much food, very good, lovely presentation. Dani was taking great care of my over impulsive, active son. Visit of the bat cave also excellent, Dedek and Dani were very attentive. Saw lots of bats and even male&female orangutan over the cave which was totally unexpected. The homestay is great. No communal area but it did not matter to us.

We loved the room just above the river. Very clean, air con in the room, big bed and big room. Breakfast was served on our balcony the day of the trekking. Otherwise lovely little resto next door with great choises for breakfast. Dedek is very kind and helpful. Great stay!

We booked the two-day jungle trek through Ridho’s homestay and it was fantastic. The jungle guides were so friendly, knowledgeable and it made the trip so fun! We were lucky to see lots of orangutan’s and black gibbons. Ridho also sorted our transport from Berastagi to Bukit Lawang and from Bukit Lawang to the airport. The location is great looking across the river and there are some lovely restaurants and bars a few minutes walk away.

Bear in mind the cashpoint is a few kilometres from the homestay (not the homestay’s fault), so it’s best to make sure you have enough cash before you arrive. However if you forget, the jungle guides can drive you to the cashpoint if needed as they are super helpful!

The location was incredible and the room was so clean and spacious and clean. We loved it!

The homestay is located on the riverside and our room was spacious and clean. We woke up one morning to see monkeys crossing the stream and had one visit our balcony one afternoon. There isn’t a restaurant associated with the homestay but there are many restaurants a short walk away. Dedek helped us resolve minor issues right away and was able to help with laundry service as well. He arranged a jungle trek for us with Nanang and Tony and we had a wonderful time filled with lots of orangutan sightings. I was nervous about the river tubing since we can’t swim but the ride back was fun and exhilarating!

The location was perfect. Right on the river with beautiful views.

The bed was a little too hard . After trekking all day I slept very well .

Beautiful location near the river, very comfortable room. Booked a trekking with Jhonny that was a lot of fun. Also they arranged a birthday cake for my girlfriend, which I highly appreciate. Would definitely stay again!

From the moment we were warmly welcomed by Team Ridho in Medan to the moment they safely transported us to our lift for Berastagi, our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. We opted to use their services for a jungle trek and an elephant visit, and we couldn't have made a better choice. One of the greatest locations we have ever stayed. Beautiful room on the ground floor with a view over the riverside and jungle. Near nice restaurants and at a quiet street which is only accessible by scooter. Delicious breakfast, the hosts are always available for questions and requests. The organized jungle track was amazing. Our guides Ricaldo and Tony shared so much information over the jungle and we encountered several species of monkeys. Really special to spend a night deep in the jungle.

A side table or a little bit more space to store small items would have been nice. And maybe a hammock.
