Great location & spot right on the river! Easy to get to start of the treks Would stay again.

A great place overlooking the river. Very comfortable, and a nice place to come back to after trekking. Run by lovely helpful people. Raymend was very responsive, and we had a great jungle trek with Dedek & Jhonny who found us plenty of orangutans, including a large male. We recommend taking the trek through Ridho's place (same price as everywhere else, and great people to spend the day with). Also great food cooked by Dedeks wife & Jhonnys mum!

Met at the top of the village by Dedek and Jonny to help us with our bags by motorbike to the homestay. These guys could not do enough for us and Made our stay in Bukit Lawang which in itself is a great place to visit. We did a one day trek with them, and thoroughly enjoyed the day seeing orangutans in the wild, and jungle taxiing back to the village. We did a cookery course with Jonnys Mum and a Village tour on the third day by bicycle which was a great way to learn more about the area. On top of that it’s a very comfortable room overlooking the river, we had the upstairs. Superb few days, really worth visiting and we will be recommending to friends and family.

Be aware no ATMs in Bukit Lawang and the one in the nearby town didnt like our Mastercard, so suggest sorting cash out in Medan or wherever you are coming from. Did manage to get cash back from one restaurant but I wouldn’t rely on it and the commission was 7% so quite steep.

Amazing homestay right on the river! The guides, Dedek and Jonny, were exceptional! Highly recommend this homestay if you are going to Bukit Lawang. The huge fan in the room for drying clothes is a great touch!

The bed might be a little hard for my old bones, lol!

Very pleased I chose to stay at Ridho's Homestay during my time in Bukit lawang. Very comfortable room with incredible views. I even saw orangutans from my room which was mind blowing :) I highly recommend staying here.

Amazing holiday in a beautiful place on the river bank in Bukit Lawang. The hospitable owner helped to bring the luggage to the room and organized an amazing two-day trek into the jungle to see orangutans. The room is clean with a wonderful veranda overlooking the river. I recommend this guesthouse to anyone who wants to visit Bukit Lawang

Room was spotlessly clean and had a great view of the river and the jungle beyond. Deedek was a very gracious host. He will pick you up at the car drop off point and also bring you back. In several other ways, he was very proactive and eager to please. Excellent breakfast prepared and served by Deedek’s wife, who was not only an terrific cook, but also the sweetest person in the world

Did not sleep well as the mattress was too hard for me. Had some sticker shock over the cost of a one day jungle trek. It was much more expensive than my previous visit prior to Covid. That said, Deedek and Johnny were extremely knowledgeable and informative. We did see a lot of orangutans on our trek, so it was not only educational, but we had a great time.

super spacious room with a balkony view of the river and jungle. host had everything prepared but otherwise left you to enjoy everything in piece. even gave the key to my tour company for easy check in returning from the jungle. too service and everything super clean

The owner and all the people there are so friendly , I had also a well organized transfer to the airport ! It’s directly on the river and the view is fantastic!
