GBGBLovely spacious and clean cottage. The welcome was great, also the food in the pub next door (pheasant inn) was superb. Many thanks to the owners Daughter for looking after us. The fillet steaks were delicious, way above the average pub food.

The fire door in the kitchen was locked and we didn’t have a key. Would have preferred an oven as well

You do get noise from the pub until closing, so if you are an early to bed person this probably isn't for you.

Kitchen was lacking. Confusing oven, not many utensils, lack of towels. We had a great weekend there . The pub was holding a beer & music festival when we stayed. We liked this, but felt guests should have been notified beforehand just in case you were not keen on lots of people, music, noise etc. The property is literally attached to the pub and shares the same outside space ,so if you wanted peace and quiet you would not have been happy! Felt we should have been told tbh. We had already paid and were at the 'no refund' stage before being informed via the welcome/code for entry email that the festival was happening. Worth noting for future guests if it's a regular thing
GBmy second stay at Rose Cottage and I wasn’t disappointed. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the furnishings were very comfortable with a nice modern shower room.
The downstairs was a little chilly and if the front door was adjusted it wouldn’t be so drafty.
GBWe provided our own breakfast but the Pub next door was great for evening meals.Plenty of parking.Quiet village.Warm Apartment.
