The Board Inn

Great location in Hawse High Street, friendly helpful staff. Older hotel, but still with some charm. No food was on offer in The Board, but they had a deal with Crown Hotel next door for discount. Lovely breakfast in sister hotel next door too.

Only one little thing - no shower gel in bathroom.

Location was good, not a far walk from the local attractions we wanted to visit. The room was big enough, bed comfortable and room was clean. Breakfast was served next door which was a good variety and was nice.

The room did need a bit of TLC definitely some signs of wear and tear.

Needs a renovation, or at least a good handyman to fix a few broken things

Good value for the location. The room was large and bright with a large comfortable bed. An interesting building with period features. Clean enough where it matters The breakfast was good and plentiful

The room we were given (no.4) had a connecting door to no.3 and it was about as soundproof as a hospital curtain. We could hear every movement and the gentleman's snoring all night making sleep difficult, despite us using earplugs. I wish we were made aware of this and then we would have looked elsewhere.

Located right in the middle of town. Clean and comfortable room.

The reception process: the pub is closed. Sign on door to check in next door. Greeted by an inanimate, officious woman who (kindly) showed us to our room.

There has been a power cut a few days before we arrived - It was out of the control of the hotel - but the bar was closed :(
