The Weigh Office at Cliburn Station

It was a small quaint building in a lovely rural location.The views were outstanding.

The decking on the photos looked amazing however the reality was it needed refreshing and sweeping .There was an old BBQ that had been left to rust and was full of water. Inside the kitchen worktop was worn and the shower needed renewing.It was clearly a building that has history but there were no signs of that in the interior.

Hosts were very helpful and knowlegeable of the area, the area itself was wonderful and the wildlife was fabulous Red squirrels everywhere. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Great location, beautifully presented, friendly hosts and welcome. Wine and biscuit left for us. Cosy let in wonderful location. Everything provided for comfortable stay. Great shower. Easy parking. It is wonderful to see the whole station complex so beautifully restored and being given a new purpose, an exceptional asset to Cliburn and a reminder of the railway that once called there. The mezzanine bed was wonderfully romantic! But a little difficult for us old folks and quite low headroom. We think this would be a superb honeymoon let for newly weds! The weighbridge also has split level so would not be suitable for mobility challenged guests. However, we had a great stay and easy working environment in the evenings. Hope to visit again and try the signal box!

Everything was spot on, there was nothing which gave us any displeasure.

the bed was so comfy and the building is lovely and qwirky . The hosts were lovely and welcoming.

the only downside is there isn't a little freezer in the fridge for ice

loved it’s location, the hosts were friendly without being imposing. the accommodation is quiet, warm and very cosy, it has everything that you need.

I have nothing that I didn’t like.

The underfloor heating was only just enough, although there is also a wood burner which I didn't have chance to use. But this was only minor.
