Grand Pioneers Halong Bay Cruise 1

The cruise was absolutely amazing. It is modern, very clean, and beautifully designed with spacious and comfortable rooms. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the overall atmosphere felt luxurious yet relaxing. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of options to suit everyone’s taste, and the quality of the food on the Pioneer cruise was excellent. The location was stunning, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful environment. The staff were also very kind, attentive, and professional, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Everything on the Pioneer cruise was amazing — the facilities, the comfort of the room and bed, the staff, and the range of activities. However, the only disappointing part was the day we had to spend about 7 hours on a different day boat, which was of a much lower standard than the Pioneer. The food on that boat was also not great. That evening, my husband became very unwell with vomiting, diarrhoea, and a high fever, which we believe may have been related to the food from the day boat. This might be something the company could look into improving. We were given the option to either stay on the cruise while it returned to Ha Long Bay to pick up a new group of guests, or transfer to the day boat for activities. Seven hours on the day boat felt quite long. It might be a better experience if the time on the day boat were shorter and guests could return to the Pioneer for lunch instead.
