The pre-registration process was very complicated, with a 8-9 pages document to read and sign- seems signing a annual lease for a two nights stay. The instruction about how to obtain the key from a key box was pure descriptive with NO pictures, and the box was not easy to open, like most others used in Europe. Therefore, it was a struggle for us to finally obtained the key. Also 'How to operate appliances" were all provided online via links, which was not convenient when cell phone signal is not strong. it would be nice if these pages long descriptions can be replaced by simpler hard copy instructions in the apartment by each appliance. In addition, there are only two available electric outlets in the kitchen.

Location was central to the city center and we walked for all of our events.

The bathroom had been renovated (very nice), but there were some planks of wood flooring missing near the shower. They were covered by towels, but that was the only negative of the entire stay!

The property itself is in an excellent location however the issues noted below need correction.

Rating for our experience is a combination of BAD for the Owner, BAD for Booking.com and OK for the property management company Rent All Como (RAC). After a long day of travel, we arrived around 6pm to find portions of a wood floor overlay on a marble floor missing in bathroom and kitchen. In the kitchen a number of boards had buckled, clearly from water damage, and an attempt was made to cover this up with a rug. The damage created a serious tripping and injury situation. I immediately notified the RAC team by email with photos and they did quicky reply that they would review and work to correct the situation in the morning. In parallel I twice requested support from Booking.com who failed to respond for 96 hours (short of a promised 24). Tired we went to sleep but in the morning I revisited the property listing on Booking.com only to find this problem had been reported to RAC and Booking.com a month earlier, customer noting the injury danger, to which RAC responded the issue would be corrected. Despite the dangerous defect the apartment was rented out to at least one other customer before our arrival for a 3 week stay in October. RAC indicated to me they had notified the property’s owner of the damage and the owner was to fix the floor. RAC's failing here was not inspecting the property prior to our arrival. It took two days of back and forth with RAC to convince them there was no way they could repair the problem in short order and they needed to provide us an alternate unit or refund our money. To RAC’s credit, they did agree the fix would require a long-term effort and found us another unit nearby. This problem was a shame as the units RAC has in its portfolio are very nice and since our interactions excellent. While RAC recovered it's was irresponsible that the owner failed to fix the problem and Booking.com was missing in action.

This place was sensational. Spacious apartment, well appointed, right in town amongst the action, but hidden enough to feel like a local. Walking distance with luggage from the station. Super close to restaurants, shops, waterfront and ferry terminal. Huge rooms and great views over local rooftops and down to the local narrow streets.

It was all very good.

Well appointed and very comfortable, had everything we needed for our stay. A great location with easy access to the lake, ferries, train and restaurants.

The only downside was that it was noisy. You can hear people on the street below, often very late which makes sleeping a bit of challenge at times.
