2 Southwell Road - Luxurious City Centre Apartments

Good spacious living area, decent TV and sofa with kitchen for making your own food; Had an issue working out the radiators and called the owner/manager who responded immediately - very helpful.

Lots of little things: - very noisy neighbours (upstairs), coming back from night out at 2am, and being extremely loud in the flat above - absolutely no regard for others or noise insulation so be aware you might have this; - weird kitchen set-up. No microwave, only one glass to drink out of (just a wine glass, no tumblers etc!) and no cloths to wipe with; - scalding hot water, and the shower was nearly unusable until you realised how to work the temperature handle (very unintuitive); - I would question the description of the apartment as “luxurious” - it was clean, basic and did the job but was on a par with a Premier Inn, nothing more; - No parking, although we were lucky to have stayed a Saturday night as the parking restrictions are Monday to Saturday night, otherwise you would have been trekking half a mile to a ring road car park; - not really “city centre” - which was a mile away.

A little out of the city centre, hard to find entrance to correct flat, received a message asking for ID which was a bit strange, dishwasher hadn’t been run when we got there so no clean kitchen stuff

Clean, comfortable beds and nice hot shower after a long day on the road.

Absence of parking though it was possible to find further down the road Small glitch about bringing a pet but this was sorted out by the owner

No shower working. No cleaning products. I had mop up a spill with handwash and toilet roll. The fire alarm in the kitchen has a plastic bag tied over it. 2 night running someone tried my door handle.
