Liiiving in Porto - City View Apartments

The view from the terrace was nice (apartment 4T). The elevator was nice to have. The proximity to great restaurants and the attractions was handy. We were happy to be right next to a grocery store too. We stayed in early May and we're happy to have the heat pumps so we could regulate the temperature as needed. Really appreciated how responsive the management company was. I thought the body cream in the bathroom was a particularly nice touch.

I would have appreciated a few things like: access to multilingual instructions for the stove top, oven, dishwasher, and washing machine; soap for the washing machine; a dust pan; oven mitts; hair conditioner. Also, the apartment does have much soundproofing in the patio door and ceiling, so although we weren't overly bothered, you can hear the seagulls moving around and calling out on the roof.

The place was spacious, clean, well-decorated and comfortable. It was very central and conveniently next to a grocery store.

Sheets and linens for the pullout couch would have been nice as one person slept on the couch. I expected the linens to be included with the pullout couch but was told linens were an additional cost.

The location was excellent! Close to all modes of transportation, including walking to get to all areas of city center.

My experience with both the host and booking.com has been an absolute nightmare. I feel compelled to share my horrific encounter to warn others about the complete no protection offered by booking.com. My wife and 2-year-old child were specifically sought out apartments with a separate bedroom for 1 month. It was crucial to have a dedicated workspace while my baby could sleep undisturbed in another room. When I booked this property, the description clearly stated: “apartment consists of 1 living room, 1 separate bedroom, and 1 bathroom with a shower” (proof attached). Anyone with common sense would interpret “separate” as having a physical barrier between the two rooms. Yet, much to our dismay, no such barrier existed. I immediately contacted the property to request a refund, as the description didn’t align with the actual layout. They redirected me to booking.com support. I called booking.com, explaining our inability to stay in the studio and urging them to resolve the matter. We left the property same day. After a 5-day investigation, I received a message from booking.com and the host stating that 1 out of 50 pictures on the platform displayed the absence of separation between the rooms. They declared that no refund would be issued based on this single picture. I vehemently argued that the misleading description, which advertised “separate rooms,” led any reasonable person to expect a door between them. Otherwise, the description would be utterly pointless. Astonishingly, booking.com blamed the property for the description and pushed me to contact them directly. Meanwhile, the host insisted that booking.com automatically generated the description, pinning the blame on them and directing me back to booking.com support. Interestingly enough, as soon as I exposed the deception within the description, either the host or booking.com hastened to rectify the situation, promptly removing any mention of “separate” rooms from the listing.

The apartment is outstanding. It is very modern and spacious. There are 2 balconies , with wonderful views. Also there is a good air con unit. The tv has netfix and youtube. Very handy supermarket next door.

Nothing to dislike.

The apartment was beautiful and close to the city centre!Staff was great!

Great flat with fabulous views. On a warm evening it would be great to sit out with a glass of something and nibbles. There is a supermarket next door which is a bonus.

Could have mirrors bedroom or lounge ( so the girls can check their appearance before going out to enjoy Porto)
