Valletta Collection - St. Domenic Duplex

The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, offering everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The owner of the apartment was exceptionally kind, attentive, and always available to help with anything we needed. Their warm hospitality and quick responses made our stay even more enjoyable.

Très beau et charmant duplex très bien situé. Les climatiseurs se trouvant dans le salon et la chambre sont très appréciables. Il se trouve dans une rue un peu plus calme attenant au centre ville. La station de bus est à 10-15 minutes à pieds, ce qui permet une grande mobilité. L’hôte Emilija est d’une gentillesse sans nom.

Pas de réel point négatif. Nous avons rencontré un petit soucis mais qui a été immédiatement résolu grâce à la réactivité de l’hôte. Le seul bémol est que l’eau coule un peu en dehors de la douche et que le lavabo de la salle de bain s’évacue très lentement. Mais cela n’a en rien été un frein pour profiter du logement et de notre séjour. Je précise tout de même que le logement ancien n’est pas très bien insonorisé, mais la rue reste calme donc cela n’a pas été un soucis.

The cleaning was not the best.

The apartment is in an excellent location, close to everything you might need, and at first glance, it appears clean and fairly well maintained. However, that impression quickly changes after spending some time inside. The biggest issue is the bathroom. There is no window or any ventilation, and the space has a strong, persistent smell of dampness. Water leaks out of the shower cabin onto the bathroom floor, the sink drains extremely slowly, the toilet seat is tilted and uncomfortable to use, and the flush button is partially broken. On top of all this, we noticed cockroaches in the bathroom, crawling into the wooden door—which is located right next to the bed in the bedroom. The bed itself is very unstable and wobbly—every movement from the other person is felt. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable, with a noticeable dip on the right side that makes it difficult to sleep properly. The host is unresponsive and only replies after more than 12 hours—usually when the issue is no longer relevant. The apartment has potential, but at this stage, it needs serious improvements in hygiene, maintenance, and guest communication. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend this accommodation.

The apartment was well equipped with everything needed to make it a comfortable stay eg dishwasher, coffee machine, washing machine, iron and even a hair dryer. Communication with the host was excellent. Also, the apartment was quiet and cool due to the thick limestone walls.

There was nothing to dislike

The location was excellent. So close to Valletta centre! Lots of space too and it was a cool Refuge from the heat. It was very clean and had good kitchen facilities and also a hairdryer and ironing board. My contact Emilija was most helpful and answered all of my questions. She also provided me with great restaurant recommendations.

The stairs are very steep and needed to be negotiated with care. The bedroom was very dark (which also kept it cool). I would have liked better lighting where there were mirrors.

Quirky and comfortable, had all the required facilities. The location was great for our stay in Valletta and the host was great, very informative and lots of useful tips for our stay.

I know it's a very old building but the smell inside was really hard to tolerate for me, especially because I have asthma.
