Rooms at The March Hare

It was a very nice room for the price. Good location.

Sheets were clean. Decent shower The staff in the March Hare cafe were extremely helpful. The location and closeness to the cafe and function (our reason for staying here) was perfect. Owner apologised for heating issues and agreed to refund 50% of room cost, telling us to contact Booking.com to administer this compensation.

Heating wasn't functioning. Other guests were loud and rowdy and smoking in their room. Electronic access was not straightforward into building and rooms. Initially we were given the code of the other occupied guest room. Staff in cafe below guided us, even though they reported that they were a different business. TV had an erratic reception and initially only showed BBC 1 , 2, 3 and 4. WiFi patchy, sometimes would connect but then would drop out. Things were stored in corridor/hallway spaces. Ad states free public parking, but if there's not a space then you need to look elsewhere for parking. The Avocet arms describes the car park description better. There are only upper rooms on first floor, up a steep set of concrete stairs

No plug point near a mirror to use a hairdryer. Additionally, no hairdryer in the room.

Bathroom was very cold and unwelcoming. Double or secondary glazing required in both rooms.
