Carder Cottage; A walker’s paradise in Longnor

Nicely decorated, furnished and so welcoming. It was super clean. Beds were comfortable and everything has been thought in details to make the guests stay fantastic.

Loved the location and the quality of the cottage. Everything was thought about to make our stay so comfortable and relaxing. All the rooms were a great size and the sunny garden perfect for sitting out in. Lots of little extras provided.

A truly lovely house that was right at the heart of a lovely village, which had everything in it we needed. We were able to walk in the countryside right from the door, and there was a good pub, and a few shops in the village too. The level of comfort in the house was exceptional, and we were made to feel very welcome - especially through the provision of treats for us and even our dog! The house had everything in it we needed, the kitchen was well equipped and had a lovely view up to the garden, that had I think at least 5 lovely Acer trees in it, and lots of early spring colour! There was an OS map of the area that I found helpful, not knowing the Peak District at all. What a beautiful region it is! The host was very responsive when I texted with any queries, and I especially appreciated the late check out, as travelling with teenagers!! Highly recommend this place; we had a lovely time and were able to do a good mix of walks and town trips from there - to Buxton and Bakewell both within short drive times :-)

Fantastic location, and beautiful cottage. The cottage was lovely and clean and had everything we could want. We had a fantastic two night stay and wished we’d booked for longer! The village was fantastic also with lovely local shop and a great meal at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese Inn.

The property was perfect in every way! It was located in a beautiful village with excellent amenities and on the doorstep of some fabulous walks! You didn’t have to drive far to reach some of the beautiful Derbyshire towns such as Bakewell and Buxton. The owners made sure everything was there that we needed even for our dog Bella! 🤗 So grateful for the wonderful ‘WelcomeBasket’ full of delicious goodies! It was very much welcomed when we arrived! Fabulous short break… we will certainly be back! 💕
