Old building with character, outdoor seating and easy parking.

Lacked charm and hospitality. Hard beds. Friendly, but inexperienced staff. Breakfast was questionable.

"Memorable"

The White Horse is situated in a quaint village, we felt relaxed and looked after as soon as we checked in. The property has a real oldy worldy feel, with beams and large fire place. The food was amazing and had a great selection of drinks! There is a large play area at the back of the hotel, so no worries about bringing children. Gaby the manageress was thorough and extremely helpful, as was Tom who waited on our table - nothing was too much trouble.

We were disappointed that we couldn't extend our stay, because of popularity they were full!

Locatie en inrichting

Alleen jammer dat op zondag niet gegeten kan worden in de pub. Daarvoor wel weer voor in de auto. Dit was niet duidelijk aangegeven op booking.com

Beautiful old building full of character. Nice village location. Staff were very friendly and eager to please.

What a shame this beautiful old pub has not been maintained. General maintenance was needed, for example rope handrail pulled out of the wall, stair carpet extremely dirty, mould around the shower tray to name a few. Breakfast on the first morning was poor. We choose the continental option of fruit and yoghurt and that's all we got served. No cereal, fruit juice, pastries etc out to help yourself. Not offered any toast, cup of tea served with no teaspoon or sugar with it. Second morning was a lot better as we opted for a cooked sandwich which was very nice. There was also a selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit juice etc to help yourself. Felt for the staff as they were doing there best but it seems like the owner doesn't really care about the place. Such a shame!
