Large comfortable room in a wonderful old building. Excellent evening food with generous portions.

Couldn't work out how to make the coffee machine work. Continental breakfast was basic.

The authentic age and history are easy to see a great blend of history with the benefits of modern facilities. The food was great

The Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. I ate in the pub every night and the food was delicious and plentiful; if I lived nearer I would definitely book a table for dinner and take my friends.

The room and bathroom were cold. I stayed in March and the heating was not on. I was given an electric heater for the room but that did not help the temperature in the bathroom.

Location was OK but a little remote and the pub closed at 7pm on Sunday night

Breakfast was cereal and limited to just Weetabix & Cornflakes. Had to ask for fruit and they had to buy some from the village store. We had Sunday roast beef for dinner and the meat was full of fat and tough to eat. They room (robin) fronted the main road which was noisy throughout the night. Our room didn't have a TV remote, so we contacted the owner who didn't answer the phone, so we left a message to call us back and we just received a text to say "take the remote from another vacant room"

Comfortable room and nice pub.

Lovely decor in room but needs better matching clothes hangers. Breakfast pretty sparse. Nothing savoury.

The room was lovely, could have been a little cleaner but in general nicely done. There were no coffee cups in my room so I had to ask. The heating had packed up but they informed me before I arrived and offered me a discount which was much appreciated. The food in the bar was lovely. The staff were very helpful but just need a bit more attention to detail.

Could be cleaner Breakfast was very disappointing. I agreed a time the evening before and there was no one about in the pub at this time and the bar was all locked. I waited and then contacted them and they said there had been a mix up. 45 mins later I was offered a choice 3 (quite old looking boxes) of basic cereal for which I had to ask for milk, toast but no offer of white/brown, which then arrived to me in a bowl and with no knife. One cup of tea rather than a teapot. Luckily had read the reviews about breakfast so had an inkling of what to expect but if I’d been expecting a full cooked breakfast then I would have been very disappointed!!

Good price and location..

All as per my expectations..

Very good value. Big comfy room with friendly service. Great walk in shower with a good hot temperature. Also a smart TV which is great for youtube and Netflix etc. Nice pie of the day in the Restaurant

Sadly no working Wifi. Very pet friendly, not sood not good if you have allergies like me. Corridor Carpet needs a good hoover very muddy. Breakfast was disappointing. Granola or Granola as a cereal option, no hot food or coffee refills offered.

Staff were excellent. The kitchen had closed by the time I had arrived but they were able to offer and make me a meal of my choice which was above and beyond

The radiator needed bleeding in the room Robin as it was very cold in the bathroom - I forgot to tell them so I hope they see it here
