Lovely room, lovely staff,, good pub food

Breakfast was a bit limited

Fantastic historic pub, beautifully renovated with gorgeous en suite rooms. Friendly and welcoming staff and enjoyed a gorgeous dinner.

Breakfast could have been better, only offers continental but choices weren’t that exciting.

Excellent dining in pub , delicious food, great wine and super service . Character period property with plenty of beams everywhere! De luxe room with large comfy bed and big ensuite with walk in shower. Plenty of parking. Quiet location.

Only improvement would be small fridge in room for milk for tea and coffee or drinks. No milk provided. We had early departure so could not have breakfast, no alternative was offered eg continental breakfast in room

Lovely old fashioned room & a perfect location to Goodwood , just a short drive. Staff were very friendly & helpful when we arrived late on Thursday.

A couple of points we thought were poor , the cups in the room were dirty with coffee stains and hadn’t been cleaned, Also the breakfast was very poor , you got a choice of granola some yogurt and if you were lucky you got a croissant, 4 people for breakfast and only three croissants, It was advertised as a continental breakfast , from someone who has travelled all over Europe, this was as far away from a Continental breakfast that you can get . It’s such a shame as the place is lovely and the rooms are just the sort we like . Just let down by attention to detail and a very limited (poor) breakfast . If I was to rate the accommodation it would be a strong 8 , Unfortunately as a overall rating it’s a 5 🥲

Location great, building lovely and decorated really well. Very comfortable room. Excellent shower! Staff all very friendly.

Breakfast was ok but did not match the standard of the rest of the stay. Given how great everything else was I would expect more options for breakfast. Cooked breakfast or at the very least eggs with something-avocado, salmon etc. I think for most people, the breakfast is as important part of the stay as everything else and we just expected more.
