Grubby, out of date food for breakfast.

Picturesque, lovely pub inside and out, comfortable and accommodating, staff were friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to help, a big thank you to Emily.

Bed linen and use of fan.

Dirty - not vacuumed, dusted. Shower and toilet not properly cleaned. Lack of basic maintenance - handrail on stairs detached, window stay disconnected- simple jobs to fix. Breakfast - minimal and haphazard affair - cheap and limited selection. No cooked option. Chef still not in place. All in all , over priced for what is provided Nb. It appears the place is up for sale which maybe explains all the issues around cleanliness and maintenance.

The smell of drains, no restaurant in service but not stated when I booked and breakfast started at 8.30am, way too late when we are working

Big comfy bed. Good size room. Friendly member of staff.

Noisy road outside of room. Coffee machine not working (? wrong capsules). Dirty cups in bedroom. Room generally not very clean (dirty shower and windows). Poor quality breakfast (no hot options, stale cereal, tables not set, dirty crockery). Overpriced for level of quality and service provided.

The location was very good, so was the car park. Our room was clean and very nice. The young lady who welcomed us, was great!

It was a disappointment we could not have dinner!

The young lady in charge was very helpful and courteous but the pub was inadequately resourced. The pub closed at 7 leaving us without food.

We were cycling and checked in advance whether food would be available. On arrival we were advised the chef had left had we known we would be without a meal we would have cancelled and gone elsewhere.

This sums up our stay, “Hi, I can’t see any refund paid into my account as per our discussion on 29 May. If you remember I had to take my family out for breakfast in Petersfield because the breakfast was so poor/non existent. It’s really disappointing that you are not able to compensate customers who have booked and paid in good faith. Victoria Dubourdieu”

The room was ok, except for the remnants from the previous guest in the bathroom, which made us wonder if the bed had been changed or not??

Apart from the 'locals' quiz night going on until 23.00hrs ( I think we did ok with the answers in our bedroom) Aside from that, the bathroom issue and the absolutely poor breakfast / communication oh and the chef was off sick again!! No hot food available in the evening. No milk in our room, no coffee or hairdryer either!! I can honestly say that in my opinion if you have people staying in your house, hotel or whatever, you have a duty of care for those people, paying guests or not the owner of this property showed complete disregard for our welfare!!! And to add, does booking.com have any responsibility to Thier subscribers? And as such, what are they doing about such substandard rip off accommodation????
