The Old Stables in Mews

Good location to where we were meeting family members. Good sized bedroom and communal lounge/kitchen area. Clean and comfortable. Host was very friendly and responded quick to messages. Would definitely stay here agin in the future. :)

No parking on site but the street had plenty for us.

Homely and huge amount of space, overall great value.

The only negative was the comfort of beds which felt like the mattresses were a little lacking in quality, but it did not prevent a good night’s sleep.

Parking an issue had to park on the road a distance away from the property. Bathroom cramped with the radiator to near to the toilet you could burn your leg on it. Only one part of a toilet roll. Salt and pepper mills supplied but nothing in them. Food left in cupboard by previous occupants. Boiler not working on arrival I had to pressurise the system to get it to work. A bit more attention to detail before occupation and would be 9 out 10 just knocking one off for the parking.

What a lovely Gem of a property. Everything you need and more. Lovely underheated flooring (Fabulous during my winter stay). Everything you need during your stay for cooking was available. Took washing up liquid as previously mentioned by another customer, so there is loads left for future customers. Ditto Loo roll. Oven glove and teatowel available to use too. Warm comfortable bedroom, with soft comfortable matress. Towels supplied. Loads of hot water, shower was not one of those water wasting versions. Just as a shower should be gentle and maintains your desired heat. Comfortable sofa. Lovely little courtyard for outdoor breakfast, accompanied by birdsong. Loads of local shops to use, and a close walk to the beach too. Would recommend as a base for Africa Alive visits.

I managed to break the glass tea pot, so left contribution to a replacement, as only there overnight and unable to replace while I was there.
