Great breakfast, comfortable rooms, lovely staff

Water pressure and heating could have been improved on

breakfast looked nice but it was not very good, bread was kind of dry and the food was heavy for a breakfast. it is a bit far away from the center so sometimes it was difficult to get us tuktuks

Het ontbijt was erg uitgebreid. Van ei tot zoete broodjes, stukjes taart, vers fruit. Cornflakes, rijstnoedels. Wij hadden een heeel groot bed. De kinderen sliepen in een kamer aan onze kamer. In beide kamers airco. Koelkastje op de kamer en de mogelijkheid om thee en koffie te maken. Heel erg schoon. Zwembad. Ook een klein zwembadje. Mooi uitzicht op de bergen. Volgens mij ook nog een sportzaaltje en een pingpong tafel maar daar hebben wij geen gebruik van gemaakt.

The Castle is a quirky accomodation designed by the owners for their love of colonial history and medieval times. It has a lot of interesting thngs located throughout the property to look at if this is your interest. We had only a short time overnight so were not able to take use of the pool which looked good and had a good view of the hills and valley (as did the entire property). Breakfast was adequate for our family. If we had more time then we could have enjoyed the facilities more if staying in.

The location was a long way (time wise) from the main area of Kandy, and quite a mission to locate in the dark. If you want to be close to the main part of Kandy city then this may not be for you.

We were amazed by the castle theme, which was implemented through the whole hotel! The kids loved the pool and we all loved the restaurant which is overlooking the mountains of Kandy. This is especially beautiful in the evening for dinner, with all of the lights around you. Breakfast was great as well and the staff was lovely

This property was one of the highlights of our trip. I would strongly recommend The Castle to anyone visiting Kandy. Clean rooms with spectacular views and the management deserve kudos to be there for any help you could possibly need.

As a solo traveler, I found this to be one of the most beautiful places to stay. The antique collectibles and unique interior made it feel like living in a castle. I was warmly welcomed with such friendly hospitality. The staff were incredibly helpful, guiding me with route maps and arranging easy tuk-tuk access. They even assisted me with my laundry, which I truly appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious. I genuinely enjoyed my stay at this charming castle.
