We stayed in the two-bedroom apartment, which was perfect for our family and very comfortable. That said, the rooms in the main castle looked even more luxurious in comparison. We were kindly offered one but chose the apartment for the extra space. Next time, we’d love to try staying in one of the rooms to enjoy that extra touch of charm and style.

Very friendly staff. Exceptional breakfast. Clean rooms and washrooms.

Location. Location is a bit far from the center and high up the hill so tuktuk fares a little higher.

The crew is really amazing. They took care of us like we were princesses in a castle 😁. The were waiting for us at the entrance of the castle to welcome us en bring our backpacks to our room. Nothing was too much and the made us two delicious diners en two fantastic breakfast. We enjoyed it on our own terrace with a stunning view over the mountains of Kandy. We had the suite and that suite is highly reccomanded. Beautiful view and really clean. The most perfect place till now for us. The owner brought us to the railway station early in the morning by car. That was very nice. Thx for taking care of us and when we visit Kandy again we will come back.

Everything was great. They were building up the place but it didn’t border us.

From the start to the end we experienced luxury. Everybody is always ready to help with their genuinely happy faces. Little away from the busy town is one of the highlights and according to us it’s a plus point than a negative

The location is good, at a very quite location and neighbourhood, could easily get taxis to the main center. Lots of open area in this multi level building .

We were a family of 6 and got to stay in the apartment with garden view room. One room was ok but the other room was very damp and one small window, and we had to share 1 small bathroom among 6 of us. It would have been better to book 2 rooms. Apart from this the place is good. The room we stayed "apartment with garden view" seems to be the worst one, and in serious need of upgrade. Both the rooms were very outdated and when you book this hotel you see the photos of "suite" and there are no photos of this room, so the description is misleading and I didn't check the other rooms but they could have been better.

Great hospitality! Incredibly beautiful views from the top of the hill! The children's playground was very safe for such a height. The pool was very nice and cooling, because otherwise it was very hot for us in Kandy. The meals were specially prepared for us, because fortunately there were not many people in the restaurant. Special thanks to Viswhua, who helped us with everything at the hotel and also gave us a fantastic day tour of the Kandy area as a guide. Viswhua is smart and speaks very fluent English. Thank you! We spent 3 memorable days and 2 nights in Kandy and at The Castle by Don Louis hotel.

Absolutly stunning view, comfortable and nice room, we felt like a part of family here. The personnels went above and beyond, they even help us to repair our car. Food was nice..and that quiet and peace around us..perfect

Everyone was so friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast and dinner were very nice. The pool was an added bonus. Their in house taxi (Vishwa) was also excellent

It was a little further out than expected but it was easy 2 arrange a tuk tuk or car. A driver named vishna was very kind and patient and would drive you wherever you wanted. The walking distance was the only problem as not much around area unless there was transport
