Selva y Mar Apart Hotel

We were able to check in last minute, and staff was quick to answer questions. The main issue was we ran out of water. We could no flush the toilet or take showers. Water was deliver the next morning, but if we were staying more than one night it would have been an issue.

Internet was to bad and television didn’t work

It was near of the 5 ta ave.

The location is great and if you find no other place to stay this is definetly an option. We had a lot of troubles with the check in and our stay in general but the staff at least tried to speak to us.

In booking it says payment at the site but what you really have to do is pay through paypal or bank transfer. This is sent to you on a picture that you cannot press on. There is no reception that would really help. The communication was difficult and because of it we got an upgrade. Which was also needed as there were blood stains on one of the beds. The water went on and off, but if it was there there was hot water. The place is really loud and we could hear the party all night but that s because you are close to everything. The wifi is absolute crap.

Great location and everything needed for a longer stay. I felt very comfortable and safe staying here.

Everything was perfect. The self checkin was very easy, the owner, Jessica sent me the details on whatsapp (and she also gave us tips for what to do in our stay there). The room was very clean, had a quite large fridge (it had a freezee too!). Very close to the beach, only a few mins to get there. Had air conditioning, which was a blessing because even in November there were 30º or more outside. The owner let us leave the room keys at checkout but remain in the interior patio for a few hours because we had a plane in the evening. Street was quiet, neighbors were quiet. I would definitely go back here if i ever come back to Playa del Carmen!!

Actually there werent any big issues. The bed was a liiiiitle bit small, around only 135cms large, but maybe this is a mexican standard? Not sure about this. The toilet kept blocking itself, we often couldn’t flush the water, but we solved the issue ourselves.
