So wonderful view and everything near, I took bicycle for rent, and the price was so cheap, people are very friendly!!!!

Everything was good

I booked the room mostly because of the view, and it was as amazing as you'd imagine! So beautiful. Lots of crabs and lizards are outside of the hotel, and a short walk away is Turtle Beach, where you can swim with Turtles. Lots of resturaunts and a small supermarket are nearby too. Plus the bus stop is close, for the bus to Galle or Matara. The room was nice and the AC worked well. Staff were friendly, and the breakfast was good too!

I booked (and paid extra) for a deluxe double room. When I checked in I was given a normal twin room. This room was fine, but compared to the deluxe double room it offered less privacy, and was missing a few comforts. I asked about it and was told the room I'd booked had an issue with it, which I thought was fair enough. Then the next day another couple checked into the room I was supposed to have. Not sure what happened there. Maybe there was a good reason, or maybe they just wanted to give the nicer room to a couple and not the young solo traveller. Either way the lack of communication and not offering any sort of refund for the downgrade put a downer on what should have been a perfect stay. Also the waves were very loud. It seems like that would be nice, especially at night to fall asleep to, but it is not. It sounds like really high winds with lots of crashing, and makes it a little hard to sleep. When having breakfast there are a lot of flies outside, although this is normal everywhere in Sri Lanka.. but annoying!
